Motion detection camera, sometimes called a trail camera, or wildlife camera.

Basically what needs to be done is a the cameras shutter button is replaced with a relay controlled by a motion sensor.
Steps[]
- Dismantle digital camera
- Remove the flash and solder wire to it, so it can be placed in another location
- Remove any speakers or buzzers in the camera, so it won't make any noise.
- Attach three wires to the focus/shutter button.
- One attached to common, focus, and shutter
- Solder the wires to the relay, like in the schematic
- I covered the relay in foam to quiet the relay, so animals don't get scared.
- If you can find a 5V relay, then you won't need a 12V source
- Solder three wires to the PIR sensor
- Power, ground, and signal
- Solder the rest of the circuit together, like shown in the schematic.
- Inverter may not be needed. If the PIR sensor's signal line is normally low, you don't need the inverter. My PIR sensor's signal line is normally high, so needed to add the inverter.
