How to enable PC speaker in the Linux kernel

By default the PC speaker is disabled in the Linux kernel. So you must enable it and recompile you kernel.

In menuconfig the PC speaker option is located:

• Device Drivers
  • Input device support
    • Generic input device layer
      • Micellaneous devices
        • PC speaker support
