1. Water 2. Large, watertight container (like a bathtub) 3. Dirty clothes 4. Detergent (laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo) 5. Elbow grease

Basically all you are doing is saturating whatever is to be washed, adding some kind of soap and working it into the dirty clothes. After this, you rinse it and wring it out the best you can before drying it.
